Woman goes through innumerable milestones all her life. She has to suffer physical, mental and emotional turmoil while passing through them. Premature menopause can be clinically confirmed by assessing the amount of follicle stimulating hormone and luteinizing hormone on the woman’s body.
That’s why menopause is termed as the most dramatic period in woman’s life. Her protective hormones suddenly wean off and it starts showing on her body. She suffers from hot flushes, mood upswings, memory loss, disturbances in sleep, dryness of vagina, disinterest in sex, itchy groins and vague joint or bone pains. The risks of osteopenia, osteoporosis and muscle cramps also become prominent. The breasts start to atrophy and the skin becomes drier and less elastic. These symptoms may occur in women with varying intensities. These symptoms affect her physical as well as mental plane, thus making her all the more irritable.
What she needs is a good psychological support from her family and friends. In most of the countries, talking about menstruation and menopause is still a taboo and hence women most often do not know when they are to expect menopause and what symptoms would help her assess how close she is to the last period of her life. Making a woman ready for the menopause and what she is supposed to expect as a result are things she should necessarily be informed about.
She should also consult a good gynecologist to get rid of her ailments. Also she can try alternative therapies in order to get holistic mode of treatment that relieves her mental anguish. This restores the lost hormones, thus alleviating her of her symptoms as well as aids her good protection against cancers and heart ailments.
